Ciao Bellas! Attending VICENZAORO January 2016 #idazzletravels

I leave tomorrow for Italy, to attend the January VICENZAORO jewelry show! I attended last year, and was thrilled that they asked me to come back again! You can read about my 2015 adventures here, where I explored their brand new layout and the truly jaw-dropping Italian and international jewelry designers. It’s happening January 22-27th, so watch my @idazzle Instagram feed for the drool-worthy jewels.

I find jewelry trade shows to be pretty exhilarating. So much sparkle in one concentrated place. There is a sense of being a treasure hunter, walking the aisles looking for that something that speaks to me, where I know in my bones that the design or designer is something or someone to watch. I found this to be especially true in VICENZAORO–many trends I saw there weren’t spotted until much later in the US. And have I mentioned it is in Italy? In addition to the lovely people, there is also good wine. And risotto.

I learned a lot last year. I was welcomed warmly into booths where the only common language was the love of jewelry. I met some charming up-and-coming designers, like Vanessa Pederzani. I saw breathtaking, almost physics-defying jewelry at Pasquale Bruni’s salon. And I learned that 5 inch wedge heels were not a good choice on the cobblestone piazza of historic Vicenza. (Note to self: comfortable shoes are definitely in order, the show is big!)

So come along with me to the historic town of Vicenza, steeped in the rich tradition of gold, and get a glimpse of extraordinary jewelry.

*Note that some expenses of my trip are covered by the VicenzaOro Marketing and PR team. I am expected to attend the show, press conferences and events, but there are no requirements to write articles mentioning the events or specific vendors. The opinions I express are my sincere impressions.
