Have you read the recent Vanity Fair article about Angelina Jolie? According to the author, as the ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, she shows up early to UNHCR meetings, ready to take notes. She travels to some of the world’s most damaged countries, overseeing the displacement of thousands of people. She’s a successful actor, respected director–Unbroken releases on Christmas Day–wife and mom. Yes, she’s revered for her beauty, but I’m impressed by her work ethic.
This necklace, today’s #idazzledesires, is a collaboration of Angelina Jolie, the most beautiful woman in the world, and Robert Procop, designer of some of the most incredible jewelry in the world. In green beryl and rose gold, it is a testament that beauty can be more than just a flash, a glimmer. This timeless necklace has substance. Proceeds from the sales–sometimes 100% of proceeds–of the Style of Jolie collaboration between Robert and Angelina go to the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict, which builds schools in Afghanistan.
Robert Procop gave me his wish for the holidays: “My Christmas wish would be to have every mother and child in a safe and loving home for Christmas.”
That’s a wish I can definitely get behind. For more information about this necklace or other Style of Jolie jewelry, you can contact them here.
Gems and jewelry can do more than lift spirits. They can change the world.
