It’s hard not to love Julie Romanenko of Just Jules. She has a vibrant personality and flawless style (and plenty of baked goods at her trade show booth). I especially admire the way she re-purposes vintage jewelry that is unloved or unworn, by giving it new life in rings, pendants and earrings that fully showcase the exquisite details that would otherwise be lost forever.
Speaking of vibrant, her earrings in ruby and diamond made my #idazzledesires list. They are the perfect expression of Pantone’s Marsala, 2015 Color of the Year (have we discussed how all this talk about Marsala has made me thirsty? What time is it?). These red-hot gemstones glow in their vintage-inspired frames, adorned with the perfect accents in gold.
Julie shared her desire this season: “I know this sounds dorky, but I wish for kindness, in every form. I love the NBC evening news with Brian Williams because the broadcast usually ends with an inspiring story of people making a difference…I want to make a difference…”
That’s not dorky at all. Thanks for making a difference, Julie, with art and beauty and up-cycling jewelry into modern heirlooms. Contact Julie of Just Jules here for more information.
