Greenwich Jewelers Sparkle for Sandy Relief Jewelry Auction

Jennifer Gandia, co-owner of Greenwich Jewelers in downtown Manhattan, watched the path of destruction through lower Manhattan and coastal communities with a heavy heart. Jennifer and the Greenwich Jewelers team felt compelled to do something meaningful, and have mobilized a large portion of the jewelry industry to take action.

The result of these efforts is the Sparkle for Sandy Relief online auction, November 27th through December 6th, of beautiful jewelry from the biggest names in jewelry design, with 100% of the proceeds going to Waves for Water’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Initiative.

This is huge! 100% of proceeds means that every cent from the sale of the jewelry goes directly to the Waves for Water organization to help the people still damp and dislocated from the storm. Waves for Water has pledged ongoing, hands-on support for rebuilding the beach communities of New York and New Jersey. Greenwich Jewelers is one of my favorite retailers in the country, specializing in artisan independent jewelry designers and high touch customer service for repairs and custom creations.

Given that the holidays are right around the corner, please consider buying one of the 90+ items offered for auction: not only will the jewelry purchase make you a hero to the recipient, the dollars you spend will be used to make the holidays a little more comfortable for someone in need. Many of my favorite designers have contributed, with items that are special or one-of-a-kind. There are many price ranges represented among the jewelry offerings, so there is something for everyone!
