In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here’s a little compilation of my favorite green jewelry. From the Medieval times to the Red Carpet, green gems have been honored and revered. The king of green gems, the Emerald, has been valued for its rarity and was thought to have calming, healing powers by looking at the gem. This myth may in fact have a nugget of truth: the human eye is more sensitive to green than any other color hue. Other powers attributed to it are warding off evil spirits and the ability to bring wealth (think a different kind of green!) to the wearer. So bring a little luck, wealth, protection, serenity, or just plain pleasure into your life with one of these green treasures.
