Jacob & Co. Earrings Auctioned at Nomad’s Way Charity Gala

Last night, February 16th, 2012, these Jacob & Co. custom-designed earrings fetched $100,000 at the Nomad’s Way Charity Gala in NYC. These earrings, entitled “Red Poppies of the Steppe,” were custom-designed for the event by Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co. They were inspired by the braid, Northern Kazakhstan, silver, smelt, and agate in the early 20th century.

Nomad’s Way introduces the heritage and cultural identity of Kazakhstan. Sigourney Weaver hosted the event, with a special performance by Robin Thicke. Proceeds benefit “The Alem Program” of the Saby Charitable Foundation, which provides children and adults the opportunity to realize their abilities.

Jacob & Co. is known for spectacular haute jewelry and fine timepieces worn by celebrities and collectors around the world.
